Dairy Substitutions

These are my sister's favorite dairy free recommendations.  Please feel free to add your favorite dairy free finds in the comments below!

Milk:

Coconut Milk

Rice Milk

Soy Milk

Almond Milk

Chocolate:

  Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips & Chunks - made in a dedicated facility free of the top 8 allergens.

  Pascha Organic Dark Chocolate - made in a dedicated facility free of the top 8 allergens, no GMO's and Fair Trade

 Rice Dream Chocolate Chips (contain soy)


Cheese:

Daiya - sliced cheese, shredded, wedges, cream cheese style spreads and pizzas

Trader Joe's Mozzarella Vegan Cheese

Yogurt:

So Delicious

Sour Cream:

Tofutti (soy based)

Ice Cream:

So Delicious (contain coconut)

Butter:

Earth Balance (soy based)

Creamer:

So Delicious (contains coconut)

Whipped Cream:

1 can coconut milk

 

Refrigerate the coconut milk for a few hours.  Remove from freezer without shaking.  Open the can and scrape off the solid layer.  Whip that with a little powdered sugar and a little vanilla.  (Save the coconut water that is left in the can, in the refrigerator and use it later for another recipe)
